Help and Guidelines:
Getting more traffic to your website listing.
- In order to list your site for approval you will be asked to supply a title and description. Premium members will also be asked to supply keywords.
- Be brief. It is important to keep in mind that viewers typically scan search results. They look for titles and descriptions that quickly appear to satisfy their needs.
-
Use the title and description fields effectively. Tell viewers who you are, what you do and how you will benefit them. Here is an example of how we would list our company:
Our title is: B2B Yellow Pages - Business Directory.
Our description is: Business-to-business yellow pages and website directory. Allows buyers and sellers to locate or advertise websites for their product and service needs.
- Do not use capital letters in your title or description. This will appear as SCREAMING to your viewers.
- When asked to recommend keywords that specifically relate to your product or services, do not use general keywords such "business". Everything on our site is business! Be more specific. For example, a corporate attorney would recommend the keyword "business law".
- List your site in a community and category that specifically relates to your products or services. This will allow you to target and pinpoint your viewing audience.
For example:
a) A tire distributor would select "Transportation" as their community.
b) The distributor would then select "Tires" as their category.
- You can also select your City or Town as a category (US Companies only). This has the potential to increase your traffic significantly. Many viewers rely on our US City and Town Directory for companies within their local area.
